BHFD Responds to Tree on a House

On Sunday the 15th of August, BHFD was dispatched to the corner of Winding Lane and Babbitt Road for a report of a tree that fell onto a house. Upon arrival a large tree had fallen and taken down the primary wires and snapped a telephone pole. NYSEG, Con Ed Gas, Town of Bedford Highway Dept. and Town of Bedford Building Dept. were notified to respond and assist in accessing the damage to the structure. The structure was deemed uninhabitable by The Building Inspector. NYSEG and Highway Dept personnel remained on the scene to clear the debris and restore power to the area.
