At 02:16 hours on Friday, September 15th, Bedford Hills Volunteers were dispatched to Croton Lake Road for a reported motor vehicle fire. Car 2033 was first arriving and confirmed the vehicle fire with a 2nd vehicle in close proximity. Engine 199 arrived on scene and quickly deployed a 1-3/4" hand line while Tanker 5 connected a 3" line for water supply. The fire was placed under control within 15 minutes and after an extensive overhaul, the scene was turned over to Bedford Police. Bedford Hills units cleared the scene at 03:00 hours.
