Tomorrow Sunday, March 11th, begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00am. As you spring forward and set your clocks ahead one hour, be sure to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors or test them if you have a new detector with a battery that is good for 10 years.

SMOKE DETECTORS SAVE LIVES

Three out of five home fire deaths result from fires in properties without working smoke alarms.

More than one-third (38 percent) of home fire deaths result from fires in which no smoke alarms are present.

The risk of dying in a home fire is cut in half in homes with working smoke alarms.
