Right Place at the Right Time!

Today, March 12, 2018 at 2:59 p.m. Assistant Chief Dennett along with Engine 198 were returning to Bedford Hills from routine maintenance when they came across a single vehicle accident on Interstate 684 in the Croton Falls Fire District.
Chief Dennett immediately requested Croton Falls FD and North Salem VAC to be dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with the vehicle on fire. A trash line was stretched from Engine 198 to hold the fire at bay until Engine 148 (CFFD) arrived to fully extinguish and overhaul the fire.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and refused medical aid from North Salem VAC. Units remained on scene while the vehicle was removed from atop the guardrail.
