Working Vehicle Fire at Bedford Jeep

Around 05:00 on Monday May 13th, While on routine patrol, a Bedford Police Officer came across a fully involved pickup truck on fire in the parking lot of Bedford Jeep, on Bedford Road. Within two minutes of Chief Patierno arrived on scene and requested a retone, adding the third due engine to the assignment due to exposures issues.

The crew of Engine 199 had water on the fire within 8 minutes of the initial dispatch. The Westchester County Cause and Origin Team was requested, to assist in determining the cause.

BHFD remained on scene to assist with the investigation, and returned to service at 07:00.
