Fire Prevention Week is in Full Swing!

During Fire Prevention week, our members travel to the local elementary schools, and open our doors to the local preschools for Fire Safety Lessons and Demonstrations.

Some Topics Covered with the students are:
• Importance of Working Smoke Detectors
• Sleeping with Bedroom Doors Closed
• E.D.I.T.H. Drills and having a meeting place
• Proper Usage of 911
• Safe Cooking Practices

Monday Morning, we kicked off Fire Prevention week at Bedford Hills Elementary School, Tuesday – at West Patent Elementary School, and Thursday at Rippowam Cisqua Elementary School. Today, American Gymnastics Pre School stopped by the Fire House for their Fire Prevention Lesson.

This Sunday, October 13th from 1:00pm-4:00pm, we will be hosting our Annual Open House. There will be Fire Safety Education, Live Demonstrations, Fire Truck Rides, Apparatus and Fire Station Tours, a Bounce House as well as Food and Refreshments.

Parking is available along Main Street, Depot Plaza and the Commuter Parking Lots on Griffin Avenue. We hope to see everyone there.
