Busy Monday for Volunteers

Monday proved to be busy for the Bedford Hills Fire Department as Volunteers answered four alarms in the first due. At 11:15 hours BHFD was dispatched to the Municipal Building for a inside odor of smoke. A small brush fire was located on the exterior of the building in close proximity to a fresh air vent. Yorktown 2nd Alarm

At approximately 23:00 hours on Tuesday October 3rd, the Yorktown Heights Fire Department along with Croton F.A.S. Team was dispatched to a reported dumpster fire with extension to the building on Front Street. Car 2531 arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and immediately transmitted the 10-75 (working fire). Vehicle Rollover on Guard Hill Road

At 13:00 hours on Tuesday, September 26th, Bedford Hills Volunteers were dispatched to the area of Guard Hill Road/Mclain Street for a motor vehicle accident. Crews arrived on scene, locating a one vehicle rollover with the occupant in care of EMS. Motor Vehicle Fire

At 02:16 hours on Friday, September 15th, Bedford Hills Volunteers were dispatched to Croton Lake Road for a reported motor vehicle fire. Car 2033 was first arriving and confirmed the vehicle fire with a 2nd vehicle in close proximity. Engine 199 arrived on scene and quickly deployed a 1-3/4" hand line while Tanker 5 connected a 3" line for water supply. The fire was placed under control within 15 ... (Full Story & Photos)
