Former Bedford Hills Fire Department member Casey Cassidy has been Promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief of the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Fire Department. Chief Cassidy Started with the Bedford Hills Volunteer Fire Department in September 1991as a Probationary Firefighter, and took multiple classes before becoming Engineer of Snorkel 1. On Friday Night April 19th, the Bedford Hills Fire Department hosted it's 35th Annual Ham Night. A Record crowd of over 400 people from the Tri-State Area turned out for Ham Night. A great night of laughs and fun was had by all that attended and the Crowd favorite Ham Night slogan of "And a Ham" was heard each time the Ham Night Wheel was spun.

A pair of fires started off the month of March for Bedford Hills Volunteers.
On Friday March 1st at 18:00 - BHFD was dispatched to Glen Arbor Golf Club for a commercial fire alarm. Upon the arrival of Car 2032 (Patierno) and Engine 198 - a small fire was located in the parlor room of the clubhouse. Discarded oily rags from staining spontaneously combusted inside of a trash can. At 16:50hrs on Wednesday afternoon, BHFD F.A.S.Team was dispatched to the Somers Fire District for a working structure fire.
Car 2441 arrived with smoke and fire showing from a 2 1/2-story residential structure and transmitted the 10-75 (working fire).
