January 2026 continues to be a busy month for volunteers. At 06:58 hours on Thursday, January 8th, Bedford Hills was dispatched to a reported vehicle into a building on Woodland Road. All three chiefs, along with Engine 199, Rescue 10, and Tower-Ladder 57, responded. Sunday’s early morning snow showers led to slippery roadways and three separate calls for assistance. The first incident was reported at 08:42 for a single-car MVA northbound on the Saw Mill River Parkway. Car 2033, Engine 199, and Rescue 10 responded. In 2025, the Bedford Hills Fire Department responded to a total of 491 alarms. Members of the department continue to respond at all hours, in all types of conditions.
After checking the List twice with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the BHFD Elves, the 2025 Bedford Hills Fire Department Candy Cane Run Schedule has officially been approved by both the North Pole and BHFD!
Santa will be visiting designated locations throughout our Fire District on Saturday, December 13th, between the hours of 9:45 AM and 3:30 PM.
