BHFD Respond to Motor Vehicle Fire on Interstate 684

On June 8th at 0705 hours The Bedford Hills Fire Departmant was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire on Interstate 684. Upon arrival of Car 2032 (Bueti) the incoming units were updated that it was a pick-up truck fire that was fully involved. E-198 arrived and stretched an 1 3/4 line for fire suppression. E-198's crew was lead by Capt. M. Graniero who lead the crew on the initial attack. The second due apparatus was Tanker 5 OIC of the rig was Lt. J Nickson who instructed his crew to stretch a 1 3/4 line to contain the fire that spread to the grass area on the side of the roadway. E-199 arrived OIC was Lt. R Bancroft who assisted in the closing of the right lane of the interstate. The fire was extinguished quickly and after the vehicle was towed all BHFD Units were returned to service by Command.
