Car fire on Saw Mill River Parkway

Shortly after 15:30hrs on Monday April 2nd. BHFD members were alerted for a Motor Vehicle Fire on the Saw Mill River Parkway southbound just north of the Kisco Ave. exit. Car 2031- Chief Bueti arrived on scene first confirming a working vehicle fire and advised 60 Control to have all Bedford Hills units proceed northbound in the southbound lane from the Kisco Ave. exit.

Once on scene Engine 199's crew stretched a 1 3/4" hand line and had the main body of fire knocked down in minutes. Tanker 5 supplied E-199 with a 3" supply line and Rescue 10 was used for scene support.

BHFD remained on the Parkway for about 35 minutes before turning the scene over to the Westchester County Police.
