| At 1836hrs on April 15th, Yorktown fire was dispatched to a possible rubbish fire behind a home on Quaker Church Road. Car 2531 and Engine 273 signed on responding.
A 10-75 was transmitted, upgrading the alarm to a working structure fire, bringing in Yorktown on a full assignment, Bedford Hills' FASTeam, YVAC and the 34-Medics to the scene, while an Engine from Somers and a Ladder from Mohegan stood by at Yorktown Station 1. Crews stretched to lines into the building and around the rear, while opening up the roof to knock down any hotspots. Bedford Hills split their team, and assisted Yorktown in overhauling the structure, once the situation was deemed under control. All units cleared the scene at 2016 hours. |
