The Bedford Hills Fire Department urges residents of the Bedford Hills Fire District to participate in the “Change Your Clocks — Change Your Batteries” campaign. Residents are asked to change their smoke detector batteries as they change their clocks forward each year at the beginning of Daylight Saving Time.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to change the batteries in their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, test the alarms and remind friends, family and neighbors to do the same. This is also a good time to practice a fire drill at your residence.
