The Bedford Hills Fire Department has made preparations for the blizzard forecast. We have all of the apparatus chained and crew will be on stand by from 5pm this evening thru the duration of the storm.

Heavy snow is anticipated starting this evening and continuing through tomorrow. Road conditions are likely to deteriorate quickly and become very hazardous. We would urge you to avoid travel if possible and to exercise extreme caution if you need to use the roads.

-Remember to stay away from downed trees and power lines and if you see downed wires please call 911.

- Check in on neighbors and elderly family members when you can.

-Please clear fire hydrants near your house and in your neighborhood!
