Friday October 28 @18:26 Bedford Hills FD was dispatched for an MVA rollover with reported entrapment on Mclain St. Car 2031 and Engine 199 were responding shortly after dispatch and were updated by 60 control that Bedford PD was on scene confirming the pin and requesting a rush on EMS. Engine 199 arrived on scene first, confirmed the pin and put the tool to work. On scene, the Engine had a single car accident off the road into a utility pole. The vehicle was upright but partially lying on a large downed tree and with heavy front end damage due to contact with a telephone pole. With the Engine crew working the pin, members from the Rescue stabilized the vehicle and started in car patient care. As the front driver’s side door was being removed the vehicle was stabilized in three different locations. Once the door was removed, EMS was able to assess and remove the patient for transport to the hospital. BHFD units cleared the scene shortly after turning it over to Bedford Police.
