20:15 hours on Tuesday June 20th, Bedford Hills Volunteers were alerted to the area on Guard Hill Road/W Patent Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Car 2033 arrived on scene within minutes, locating a vehicle rollover into the swamp with the occupant out of the vehicle. Members quickly secured the vehicle and checked the surrounding area for additional occupants. KBHVAC transported one patient with minor injuries to a local hospital. BHFD remained on scene to assist with the road closure and provide lighting for the prolonged vehicle removal. Bedford Hills units cleared the scene, returning to service at 21:30 hours

This is the second time in just over a week, Town of Bedford Emergency Services have responded to a vehicle rollover on Guard Hill Road. We remind residents/visitors to always operate their vehicle at a safe and responsible speed, especially on secondary roadways where the terrain may change daily.
