| Just after the conclusion of the ceremony honoring the 50-Year members, BHFD responded to a large tree on wires on Sarles St. The call was turned over to Bedford PD, Con Ed, and Bedford Highway. As units returned to service, BHFD was dispatched to Hill Street and Bedford Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The accident involved two cars. The operator of one vehicle was transported by KBHVAC with minor injuries. The operator of the second vehicle fled the scene after striking the first vehicle and running off the road, eventually landing in the woods. BHFD provided EMS until arrival of Katonah Bedford Hills Ambulance assisted then Bedford Police with lighting the crime scene while they conducted their investigation. |
