In the early morning hours of November 10th, the Bedford Hills Fire Department was alerted to the lower end of Babbitt Road for a motor vehicle fire next to the structure. Car 2 arrived on scene within 2 minutes of dispatch, confirming the vehicle fire and performing a quick scene size up. Engine 199 made the block and rapidly deployed their 1-3/4" front bumper handline to extinguish the blaze. Crews from Engine 198 and Tanker 5 checked the interior of the adjacent structure for extension while Rescue 10 assisted with overhaul operations. Bedford Hills units were assisted by the Town of Bedford Police Department and Westchester County Cause & Origin Team for the investigation.
