Rescue 10 and the FAS Team respond to "The Heights" / Brush Fire in the First Due

Shortly after 21:00 on 5/11/2021, Bedford Hills FAS was dispatched dual response to the Yorktown Heights Fire District for a reported structure fire. While enroute, responding units were updated by Yorktown Police confirming the working structure fire - Car 2531 transmitted the 10-75. Upon arrival, first due companies were met with heavy fire on a 2 1/2 story 40 x 30 private dwelling.

The Crew of Rescue 10 spilt to preform First Due FAS Team responsibilities', and assist with searching for remaining pockets of fire throughout the residence. The FAS Team operated in Yorktown for approximately two hours before being released by Command. Event # 2021-0120

At 01:03 on 5/12/2021 a 911 call was received from a resident reporting a brush fire in the rear of a residence on Franklin Ave, Car 2032 - requested a retone of the alarm for a confirmed fire with exposure issues. The main body of fire was knocked down by the "Red Line" from MA-9, before the fire exposed from the area of origin. Event # 2021-0121
