Just before midnight on Thanksgiving evening members recieved a report of a car down an embankment on South Bedford Road. Engine 199 and Car 2033 were first on location and confirmed the car down the embankment. Bedford Police notified units that miraculously the driver of the vehicle had self extricated and was waiting on EMS to arrive. Member's made their way down to the car to secure it and check for any additional passengers. Car 2032 assumed South Befdord Rd command and deemed it necessary to cut the tree that was on top of the car, before it could be pulled up the embankment. After the car was safely back on the road and moved to the flatbed tow truck all units were placed back in service by command. |
