Bedford Hills Volunteers Fulfill Multiple Mutual Aid Requests

Over the past 72 hours Bedford Hills volunteers answered multiple mutual aid requests throughout Westchester County.

On Sunday 12/5/21 the FAS Team responded to a structure fire that was initially believed to be in the Somers Fire District. Upon arrival of Somers command it was determined the fire actually in Mahopac Fire District. This brought in a 10-75 response from both Westchester and Putnam. Members operated with the Putnam Valley FAS Team to ensure the safety of firefighters operating on scene.

Monday 12/6/21 at approximately 0100hrs Bedford Hills was requested with an engine to the Yorktown Heights Fire District. Members assisted Yorktown and multiple mutual aid companies with opening up and suppression efforts.

Tuesday 12/7/21, Tower Ladder 57 was requested to standby for the Port Chester Fire Department while they operated at a multiple alarm fire. Multiple ladders from throughout the county were requested to the scene, Bedford Hills was requested to alleviate stripping the Sound Shore area of all of their resources.

Over the 72hrs Bedford Hills also answered multiple alarms in our own district.
