On Tuesday January 11, 2022, Bedford Hills Volunteers were dispatched to a Rescue assignment on the corner of Babbitt Road and Griffin Avenue, where a construction worker was suffering a medical emergency. Tower Ladder 57 arrived on scene and confirmed a roofer approximately 12' above grade, experiencing a medical emergency and unable to lower themselves from the 1-Story roof of a local business.

As the Chauffer of Tower Ladder 57 positioned the truck for a roof removal, members made contact with the patient utilizing portable ladders. Members packaged the patient into a stokes basket as Rescue 10 and Engine 199 arrived on scene. Utilizing the Tower Ladder bucket, crews successfully removed the patient from the roof and once on the ground, transferred patient care to KBHVAC for transport. BHFD units cleared the scene at 3:08pm.
