At 12:41hrs on Sunday March 13th, Bedford Hills Fire Department F.A.S.Team was dispatched to Yorktown Heights along with a Tower Ladder from the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department to the 2000blk of Midland Driver for the reported house fire.

BHFD Foreman Brown was in the area and reported smoke showing, with that Information Car 2531 transmitted the 10-75 (working fire) which brought in an Engine from the Somers Volunteer Fire Department, WCDES Battalion 17, and an ambulance from the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps Inc. to the scene.

First arriving YHFD unit Car 2532, gave the size up of a 2 story split level with fire showing from the Alpha side. Engine 272 arrived on scene shortly thereafter, YHFD members stretched 2 hoselines to make an aggressive interior attack while crews from E-274, and E-271 conducted primary searches (which proved negative), threw ladders and performed vertical ventilation. Tanker 14 staged behind E-272 in the event units encountered a dead hydrant or other water supply issues.

Rescue 10 & BHFD FAS - staffed with 10 members split the crew. Some members assisted with checking for extension and overhaul while the remainder stood at the ready in case of a deployment. BHFD remained on scene for approximately one hour before being released by Command.

As soon as Rescue 10 returned to the district, Car 2032, Engine 198 and Tower Ladder 57 handled a commercial alarm at Court Yard Farm.

Later in the afternoon, Tower Ladder 57 was requested to Mount Kisco at the Northern Westchester Hospital Staff housing as the additional Truck Company for a dryer fire were the crew of Tower Ladder 57 assisted with ventilation of the multi-family dwelling.
