Monday October 8th kicked off the 2023 Fire Prevention week for Bedford Hills Fire Department. During the week BHFD members visited two elementary schools, multiple day care centers and sponsored the annual luncheon for the Town of Bedford Seniors.
During these visits members reviewed many fire safety tips such as proper use of 911, Stop Drop and Roll and EDITH drills (Exit Drills In The House) and as always, the younger students were able to wash a few passing cars.
To conclude the week, we held our Annual Fire Prevention Week Open House. It was a fantastic day with an amazing turnout from the residents of the Fire District. We couldn't do it without all of the support!
We also like to thank the following sponsors for their gracious donations: State Farm Insurance of Bedford Hills, the office of Alysa DiMarco, Dunkin' of Bedford Hills and King Lumber.
As always Bedford Hills Fire Department reminds residents to change your smoke detector batteries because Smoke Detectors Save Lives!!
