| Busy January Continues With a Vehicle Into a Structure |

| January 2026 continues to be a busy month for volunteers. At 06:58 hours on Thursday, January 8th, Bedford Hills was dispatched to a reported vehicle into a building on Woodland Road. All three chiefs, along with Engine 199, Rescue 10, and Tower-Ladder 57, responded. Arriving units found a vehicle resting against the front of the building after striking another section of the structure. Arriving companies secured the vehicle and deployed three ParaTech struts to support the building. The driver was able to self-extract prior to FD arrival and was evaluated by EMS agencies. Units operated for approximately 3:30 hours. Throughout the course of the day, volunteers answered an additional three calls for service: - 07:31 Outside smoke condition reported in the area of Railroad Ave & Adam St. In all, volunteers have responded to a total of 16 calls since the start of 2026.
