Commissioners Inspection Apparatus Trophy
Each year members from each of the departments three companies (Engine, Ladder, and Rescue) compete for the coveted Commissioners Inspection Apparatus Trophy. This award is presented each year at our annual inspection dinner in May to the piece of apparatus that receives the highest overall score on a scale of 1 to 100. The apparatus is judged on neatness and cleanliness of equipment on the apparatus, neatness and cleanliness of the compartments on the apparatus, and on overall appearance. Preparation for inspection begins in late March and continues all the way through the day of the dinner. A very friendly but competitive atmosphere surrounds the department in the final week leading up to the annual dinner.
