By Firefighter Doug Palmesi
January 20, 2007
On January 20, at 21:56 Bedford Hills firefighters were called to 15 South Moger Avenue in down town Mount Kisco to assist at a structure fire. The fire was on the 2nd floor of 15 South Moger in the Richard Scott solon which was above the Cosi Restaurant. Shortly after dispatch Tower Ladder arrived on scene and set up in the rear of the building. The crew from 57 went to work cutting holes in the roof for ventilation and to remove some heat from the crews working on the inside. Engine 198 was special called to the scene as well and assisted the ladder crew on the roof, as well as crews on the interior of the building. Mount Kisco FD did a great job with an awesome stop and a quick knock down, of a fire that could have been a lot worse. After assisting clean up, Bedford Hills units were cleared by Mt. Kisco command around 11:45 pm. For more information and pictures on the fire, go to http://www.ifco13.com/index.cfm?fs=news.newsView&News_ID=9
