FAST team attends Battalion 13 Drill

On Saturday August 15th, the FAST team was invited to attend a Multi-Department drill that was being hosted by Battalion 13 Gary Weber, in conjunction with a house that was acquired by the Croton Falls Fire Department. The house which was graciously donated to the Croton Falls Fire Dept by a resident of their district, allowed for multiple drill scenarios to be practiced. Scenarios consisting of search and rescue, ventilation, firefighter bail out, hose line advancement and fast team operations were practiced throughout the morning. At the conclusion of the drill, Deputy Chief Lombardo gave an over-view of the FAST Team on how it operates and the tools and tactics which are used. After the over-view, a short training evolution was conducted by the FAST Team showing how a down firefighter is rescued.
