Ex Chiefs Gather to Celebrate Willis Goodrow's Birthday

On May 12 the Bedford Hills Ex Chiefs all met at Rick's Seafood in Mahopac not just any dinner, but a dinner to celebrate Ex Chief Willis Goodrow's birthday. His birthday has not yet come, but he will turn 90 years young on June 12 of this year. Willis Joined the fire department on August 7,1948 which means he has helped protect the citizens of Bedford Hills and surrounding towns for 62 years this coming August. The Ex Chiefs all sat down to an amazing meal prepared by a wonderful staff at Rick's Seafood. Rick Megna Jr. the owner of Ricks Seafood is a past member of the Bedford Hills Fire Department and son of Rick Megna Sr an Ex Chief in the department. As the night came to a close and stories from the past had come to an end all in attendance sang Happy Birthday to Willis. Even though Willis lives in Mahopac he finds time to attend meetings, special events and every now and then throughout the year you will see him pop up at structure fires to lend a hand. So from the Ex Chiefs and the members of the Bedford Hills Volunteer Fire Department. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIS GOODROW.
