March 6, 2011
At 18:45 Tower Ladder 57 and Tankers from Pound Ridge and Banksville were dispatched along with Bedford Village, to a reported structure fire on Hickory Lane in Bedford Village. As units were responding 60 control advised Car 2042, Bedford Command, that the resident was reporting an active fire in a closest and that they were evacuating. As units arrived on scene command reported that a small fire in a bedroom closest had been knocked down by Bedford Hills Car 2033 and Pound Ridge Car 2401 utilizing a water can. Tower Ladder 57's crew was assigned to help Bedford units check for extension, ventilate and perform salvage operations. Due to the quick actions of the members on scene, damage was confined to the closet of origin. Bedford Hills units were placed back in service after operating for approximately 45 minutes. This was the third time that Bedford Hills units have responded to a Mutual Aid fire in the last 3 days.
