Pair of MVA's to Start off Friday Morning

Approximately 02:00 hours on Friday February 7, 2020, the ALL Volunteer Bedford Hills Fire Department was dispatched to the Saw Mill River Parkway southbound for a motor vehicle accident with serious injuries. First arriving units located a single vehicle rollover into the Saw Mill River. Crews worked alongside PD and EMS units to package and remove the patient for transport. Apparatus remained on scene to assist Westchester County Police with scene lighting.
At 03:40 hours, 60 control notified units operating on the Saw Mill River Parkway of a 2nd motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of 247 Harris Road. All units were released from the Saw Mill Parkway and redirected to Harris Road. First arriving companies located a single vehicle off the improved roadway and into the brush. Crews provided a clear path to the vehicle for EMS to provide patient care. One patient was transported to an area hospital and all BHFD units returned to service around 04:10 hours.
