Shortly after 22:00 hours on Wednesday, February 17th, the Bedford Hills F.A.S. Team was dispatched automatic aid within the Yorktown Heights Fire District for a reported garage fire. Within 3 minutes of initial dispatch, Car 2031, Car 2032 and Rescue 10 fulfilled the request and responded with 10 F.A.S.T. qualified members. Yorktown Car 2532 arrived on scene to find a well involved 20x30 detached garage. The first arriving engine company made quick work of the fire, seamlessly deploying their handline and knocking down the main body. Four members of the F.A.S.T. performed a 360 size up of the fire building while the additional 6 members positioned IFO the fire building, remaining available for deployment. The incident was placed under control by Command and Bedford Hills units returned to service around 22:45 hours.
