As winter storm Hernando approaches, Bedford Hills volunteers are prepared to respond to emergencies throughout the storm.
Blizzard conditions, including heavy snow, high winds, and whiteout conditions, are expected to create dangerous to impossible travel across the Tri-State region tonight through Monday morning. Westchester County has issued a road ban that will be in effect from 9pm Sunday evening until 10am Monday morning. Travel should be avoided and anyone who must be on the roads is urged to use extreme caution.
High winds and significant snowfall may lead to power outages. Residents should keep clear of downed trees and power lines. To report downed wires, call your respective utility company:
