Engine 199 covers the Village of Croton

- On Monday August 16 Engine 199 went to cover the Village of Croton while they took part in a department Fas Team drill at the Montrose VA complex in Montrose N.Y... Engine 199 relocated with a crew of six from 18:45 hrs until 22:00hrs. BHFD would like to thank the members of the Washington Engine Company for the hospitality and dinner while we covered them.

Great Opportunity To Train
AUGUST 15
- With the help of Flatbed Towing of Bedford Hills and Chappaqua Transportation the Bedford Hills Fire Department was able to conduct a bus extrication to further their knowledge of bus accidents and how to remove patients from a damaged bus. BHFD Responds to Tree on a House
AUGUST 15
- On Sunday the 15th of August, BHFD was dispatched to the corner of Winding Lane and Babbitt Road for a report of a tree that fell onto a house. Upon arrival a large tree had fallen and taken down the primary wires and snapped a telephone pole. NYSEG, Con Ed Gas, Town of Bedford Highway Dept. and Town of Bedford Building Dept. were notified to respond and assist in accessing the damage to the structure. ... (Full Story & Photos)

BHFD Responds with Engine to Katonah
AUGUST 10
- On Tuesday the 10th, BHFD Engine 198 and Cars 2031, 2032 and 2033 responded Mutual Aid to Katonah for a reported kitchen fire. Upon arrival crews from Katonah and Bedford Hills stretched two interior attack lines and extinguished the fire which was contained to the kitchen portion of the residence.
