At 2 pm on April 15 Bedford Hills Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid to Yorktown Heights for a large brush fire on Turkey Mountain. Within minutes Car 2033 and Mini Attack 9 were responding. Car 2032 picked up additional manpower at the fire house then responded to the scene. On April 16 Mini Attack 9 and Tanker 5 were requested mutual aid to 58 Cherry Street in Katonah for a reported large brush fire. While responding Attack 9 and Tanker 5 were redirected to Whitlockville road to attack the fire from the opposite side. On Monday April 14 @ 18:40 hours members were in the process of washing hose that was used during the live burn training a week before when their pagers activated. It was for a reported car fire with a possible victim trapped inside the car, on Haines Road in the vicinity of Croton Lake Road. Live Fire Training on an Aquired Structure

For the second time in three years, the Bedford Hills Fire Department organized a live fire training event. Approximately twenty (20) evolutions involving live fire were conducted on March 29th and 30th. It should be noted that the NFPA 1403 standard was utilized to ensure the safety of all participants. Annual Boot Drive is a Success!

On Sunday, March 9th the Bedford Hills Fire Department held its annual boot drive. One of the main sources of funding for the department is donations. Members lined up in front of the fire house and along Route 117, armed with empty boots and their good looks, to ask motorist for donations.
