Dominick Bueti takes the helm as fire chief in 2012.
JANUARY 03
- After 20 years as a volunteer firefighter, Dominick Bueti is feeling good in his new role as chief.
"It brings new headaches, sure, but I'll be among good friends," he said. "It's something I've been looking forward to."
Bueti said he isn't planning on implementing major changes as the new leader of the department, which has existed for more than 100 years and boasts over 100 members.

Single Car Rollover On The Interstate
DECEMBER 17
- On Saturday December 17 around 3 pm Bedford Hills Firefighters were alerted to a reported motor vehicle accident rollover on the interstate in the vicinity of the rest area. Cars 2031 and 2033 were responding almost immediately and were advised that it was unknown if there were any victims trapped in the vehicle. Santa and His Elves Commandeer Bedford Hills Fire Truck; Hand Out Candy Canes
DECEMBER 10
- The Bedford Hills Fire Department spread holiday cheer through village streets Saturday in the third-annual candy cane run.
Captain Robbie Bancroft donned the traditional red suit, added the white hair and beard, and hopped aboard Engine 199. Several "elves" dressed in turnout gear joined St. Nick.
