FASTeam goes Mutual Aid to Somers Fire
JANUARY 27
- Shortly after 10:00 hrs on Wednesday January 27th, Bedford Hills FASTeam was requested by Battalion 13 to a working fire in Somers. Bedford Hills was requested as the 3rd FASTeam in as Yorktown's and Mohegan's FAS Teams were put to work by Somers Command. Multiple Westchester Tankers Respond to Greenwich Mansion Fire
JANUARY 27
- Shortly before 5am on Wednesday January 27th, Bedford Hills Volunteers were requested mutual aid for the second time in less than 24hrs. At 04:44hrs 60 Control requested Tanker 5, along with Katonah Tanker 6 and Pound Ridge Tanker 3 to respond Mutual Aid to 71 North Porchuck Road in the Round Hill section of Greenwich for a well-involved mansion fire. Tanker and Truck Take in Katonah Tavern Fire
JANUARY 26
- Shortly before 3:00 am on Tuesday January 26, 2010 Bedford Hills Fire Department was dispatched with Tanker 5 and Tower Ladder 57 to the Deer Park Tavern in Katonah for a working structure fire. Both rigs were on the road within minutes of dispatch with a total of 15 volunteers. Upon arrival Tower Ladder 57 went to work and assumed first due truck company responsibilities. Ice Rescue Drill with Banksville Fire Department
JANUARY 11
- On Monday Night January 11th, BHFD conducted an ice rescue drill in conjunction with the Banksville Fire Department at the Heffernan Estate pond on West Patent Road. The night started off at Bedford Hills' Headquarters with a lecture on ice rescue techniques and also the new ice rescue equipment which was purchased in the past year was also reviewed.
